D. (aka Deanna) Arthur is a Buffalo, NY based fiction & humor writer who is obsessed with books, comedy, and pop culture. 

D. writes humor, fiction, and essays. Her writing has been featured in McSweeney's Internet Tendency,  The Belladonna Comedy, five:2:one magazine, Lost Balloon, Electric Literature, and more. She is the social media coordinator for VIDA: Women in Literary Arts. She is a fiction reader for Split Lip Magazine and Slice Magazine. She is one of the co-founders of Virago Buffalo, an initiative to bring together women, genderqueer, and NB creatives in Buffalo, NY. Before moving to Buffalo, she produced comedy shows and literary events in Brooklyn, most notably, DESKS: a monthly reading series dedicated to all words humorous and otherwise. 

With a background in corporate HR, D.’s freelance project portfolio covers a broad span of project management and creative work. She has run PR for a book launch, provided cover letter and resume writing consultations, planned and produced large and small scale events, and even led scavenger hunts around NYC!

D. has a dog named Drake, enjoys hard goat cheeses, is legally blind in one eye, and has over 20 tattoos.
