D. (aka Deanna) Arthur is a Buffalo-born and Brooklyn-based humor & fiction writer, producer, performer, and middle child.

Her humor writing has been featured on McSweeney's Internet Tendency,  The Belladonna, and Robot Butt. Her fiction writing has been featured on Lost Balloon (forthcoming). She is also a contributing feature writer for the Ground Floor Comedy weekly email newsletter highlighting the best comedy shows in New York.

On Tuesday nights, you can catch D at RUDE a curated comedy evening at South 4th Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She is Associate Producer for the weekly night of shows.

D wrote, produced and starred in the solo show  DEANNA - directed by Eliza Cossio. Her solo show debuted to an oversold audience at The Annoyance NY as one half of LAURA and DEANNA - an evening of comedy featuring back to back solo shows. D also created, produced and hosted Legends of the Hidden Tampon at The Annoyance NY - a comedic and educational game show exploring different themes related to women’s health.  

In addition to performing in bars, backyards and basements all over Brooklyn, D has performed at PHIT in Philadelphia and The Annoyance in Chicago. She has trained in sketch and improv comedy at Endgames Improv in San Francisco and The Annoyance in Brooklyn.  

D has a dog named Drake, enjoys hard goat cheeses, is legally blind in one eye, and has 13 tattoos.
